Mechanism of action: Muscle relaxants act on the central nervous system to reduce muscle spasms and stiffness.

Topical Analgesics

Examples: creams, patches, or gels containing NSAIDs or local anesthetics.

Mechanism of action: Applied directly to the skin, these products provide localized pain relief.

Antidepressants and Anticonvulsants

Examples: amitriptyline, gabapentin, pregabalin.
